Familiar Stranger

A poem

Woman basking in the sun
Source: Hivisasa

Warm and bright

Crisp and light

Beacon of hope,

peace and life

Lighting our way

Casting shadows

Spotlighting colors

Keeper of time

Traveling through space

Renewing souls

and lifting our spirits

Beaming afar

Through love,

strife and war

Riddled in mystery

Distant and still

Oh, Stranger

That we know so well

There when we cry,

laugh, dance, and sing

In plain sight

But hard to see

Not there now?

But you know still

That the sun will come out tomorrow.
